The structure of the barn was thankfully there when we moved in and was a great blank slate that existed as my workshop until the day the animals moved in. I want it to be a place as comfortable as a room in the house while also fulfilling all the functional needs of raising animals.

Chicken Coop
This coop is designed to look like an over-sized birdhouse to match the same color and style of the wild bird houses I will eventually put on the trees and fence posts. The Coop was built on an existing post that held a bird house and is attached to the side of the barn. Inside the barn there is access to the nest box and a cupboard that holds food, water, and a mechanism for opening/closing the coop door so that the morning and evening routines can be done without going outside.
